Default How many smite runs do you do in a night/day?

I’m just wondering how many runs you typically do in a given period before your ecto drops start to dwindle. I generally find that after 3 runs, sometimes 4, drops get down to 1 ecto or none at all. I was wondering if anyone had any better luck with their runs?

i personally do many smites runs but very few completed due to the overall suckiness of 55 monks now a days, cant really comment on drops since most runs dont finish....

Yeah, I tend to go as the monk when I have to PUG due to crappy monks, but many PUG necros manage to die just as quickly. Which leads me to another point... after 3 runs, completed or not, drops tend to go to crap. I guess I should just start waiting for guildies or friends to do my runs.

I usually complete 4-6 (2-3 hours) smite runs a day without any change in the drop rate (1-2 globs per complete run). However, some days my first 2 runs yield no globs. If that's the case I wait till the next day to go back.

The drops seem pretty random from my experience. There have been times were I did a couple runs in a row and got 1 ecto or even none, then went again and got 4 in the same run. Usually I don't have enough time to do more than that in one sitting so I can't say where the dropoff point is.

0. My parents are retards, they took away my computer.

And obviously it'll depend on how long your district has favor, and how long you're playing Guild Wars.
A Smite run takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the SS/SV Necro and spawn.

if we have favour, a run with a guildie (me as 55) takes about 20 mins, so about 3 per hour, i usually spend about an hour doing them

If i am going with a guildie we normally clear the msites and all the bladeds in sight. I can think of multiple runs that would have been dry had we not killed the bladeds in the other room or the terrorwebs. when I go with a pug We normally just clear the smites. It also seems to me that i get better drops on the euro server overall than the american server. When i am 55'ing on my euro account we average 2-4 ectos a run and on american servers 1-2 per run.

please remember that this section is for the discussion of monk builds, skills, and the related. Asking about ecto drops and runs should be posted elsewhere. Moved.

I ave about 3 a month.. thats about it... Not to interested in farming unless I'm just hanging with some friends. I'm more intersted in clearing hard to clear areas like all of the underworld or all of the fissure of woe... that kind of thing appeals to me much more then just farming for something as trivial as ecto or shards...

On weekends or holidays, when I'm online all day, I do about....20 runs a day. Perhaps more. Usually, drops are totally random, but when the First ataxe group double drops that usually means extra good turn
